We're seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our client, a growing manufacturing company, in Cornwall. As a Financial Analyst, you'll work closely with the Controller to support financial management and operations.

What We Offer:

Salary: Competitive salary up to $100K annually.
Working Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

What You’ll Do:

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Assist in the development and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with ASPE and company policies.
Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and standard costing processes.
Analyze variances in manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead, and provide insights to operations and leadership teams.
Review and approve accounts payable vendor payments.
Assist with external audits by coordinating with auditors and preparing requested documentation.
Support compliance with tax filings, including VAT, GST/HST sales tax, and other regulatory reporting.
Help drive process improvements and automation within the finance and accounting functions.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or working towards it is preferred.
Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ASPE, cost accounting, and inventory management.
Proficiency with ERP systems (AS400, Microsoft 365 Business Central) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong communication abilities for cross-functional work.
